St. Angelo Fort

Built by the first Portuguese Viceroy in India, Don Francesco de Almeida (1505), St. Angelo’s Fort is one of the historic sites of Kannur. This massive triangular laterite structure is the exquisite landscape of the Dutch architecture.

Bekal Fort

Bekal Fort was built by Shivappa Nayaka of Keladi Nayaka dynasty in 1650 AD. It is the largest fort in Kerala, spreading over 40 acres. The fort appears to emerge from the sea. Almost three quarters of its exterior is in contact with water. The fort's zigzag entrance and surrounding trenches reveal its defensive strategy.

Mysore Palace

Ambavilas Palace also known as Mysore Palace is a historical palace in the southern Karnataka. It is the official residence of the Wodeyar dynasty and the seat of the Kingdom of Mysore. The palace faced the Chamundi Hill eastward and Mysore is commonly described as a 'City of Palaces', there are seven palaces including an Ambavilas.

The Nilgiri Mountain Train

The Nilgiri Mountain Train runs from Mettupalayam to Udagamandalam (Ooty), via Coonoor, it is the journey to view scenic beauty of the panoramic Nilgiri Hills of Tamil Nadu. It's the only meter gauge, rack railway in India. The retired steam engines exhibited in the Heritage Rail Museum at Mettupalayam.

Government Botanical Garden

The Government Botanical located at Udhagamandalam in Ooty, and the gardens, divided into several sections, cover an area of around 55 hectares, and lie on the lower slopes of Doddabetta peak 2250-2500m above sea level. The garden has a terraced layout and maintained by the Tamil Nadu Horticulture Department.

Gurukula Botanical Garden

The Gurukula Botanical Garden of Wayanad dedicated for plants of the Western Ghats. Namdroling Monastery

The Golden Temple or Namdroling Monastery is a beautiful Buddhist Monastery situated in Bylakuppe in Coorg, the second largest Tibetans settlement in India after Dharamshala. This is the largest teaching center of Nyingmapa, a lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, and is home to a sangha community of over 5000 monks and nuns.

Tala Kaveri Temple

Talakaveri is the place that is generally considered to be the source of the river Kaveri. It is located on Brahmagiri hill near Bhagamandala in Coorg at Karnataka bordered Kasaragodu in Kerala. It stands at a height of 1,276 m above sea level. At this famous Hindu temple, visitors can bathe in the spring waters of the holy river Kaveri.

Thadyandamol Hills
